IGS provides a state-standardized curriculum for Kinder through 4th grade. The curriculum is taught using various teaching methods such as interactive lessons, instructional videos, worksheets, quizzes, tests and cumulative projects and will build a foundation for the students’ future college experience and their career path.

IGS offers science curriculum to all students from kindergarten to 4th grade. Here are the details of curriculum for each grade level
|Students explore scientific concepts that is related to what they already know. One area of
the subject, physical science, will teach students to sort objects by their characteristics and
to describe them. Life science, on the other hand, will give students a chance to observe
and analyze plants and animals.
|Students learn to differentiate between living and non-living objects, begin to explore
earth science, and learn about people who caused an impact upon the world of science.
|Focus on patterns in nature in life science. Concepts of force and motion introduced
through physical science while earth science is continued from first grade curriculum.
|Continued exploration of energy, force, and motion while development necessary skills for
scientific investigation. Other concepts such as nature of matter and ecosystems are
introduced as part of the curriculum.
|Scientific investigations skills are cultivated along with continued exploration of previous
concepts. Additional field of science such as astrology is introduced.
IGS offers elementary social studies curriculum to all students from 2nd to 4th grade. Here are the details of curriculum for each grade level
|Students are introduced to various concepts such as basic needs, national identity, how
society works, and how to use a map.
|New topics such as ancient civilizations, regions, and past history are introduced while
new skills such as how to use chronological tables are developed.
|Students will continue exploration of past topics while being introduced of new areas of
social studies such as geography, civics, economics, art, and current events.
